TYPHOON LANDO (Koppu) has further strengthened to 195 kph maximum
sustained winds and gusting up to 240 kph. Northern Aurora, Quirino and
Southern Isabela are now experiencing the intense core of LANDO as it
slowly moves West to WSW at 10-15 kph. Its cloud-filled eye is expected
to impact the tip of the Casiguran Peninsula and into Casiguran and
Baler Bays early tomorrow morning. Storm surges, violent winds and
intense rain are expected all over Aurora and parts of southern Isabela
and northern Quezon's shores. Evacuation and rescue is deemed dangerous
as of these time in these areas. LANDO is expected to crawl slowly over
Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino tomorrow and would turn north to the
Cordilleras the following day.
